Greetings from Cannes.

Cannes
I always love going to the Cannes lions festival each year to celebrate the best in advertising. Again, I was asked to judge, which I love. The only downside is that we can’t enter anything to stay completely above boards.

I’ve been seeing lots of old friends that I last saw here a year ago. My buddies at Farfar are still looking for their lost Lion award award which they buried in the sand at the beach after last year’s awards. I must have spent 4 hours helping them look the next morning, but to no avail.

While out and about, there was a promotional team handing out black bags of crisps labeled X-13D from Doritos. While I walked around the city, I tried some. They were quite tasty. On the bag were instructions to go to a website to help name these chips. Once I got back to my room, I went to the site: http://x13d.doritos.com/

On this site, you can submit a name for the great tasting crisps, but the real fun is in making your own TV commercial. While watching a standard TV spot, you call in and add your voiceover over the phone. A pretty nifty combination of technologies all for a bag of Doritos.
