Saturday I enjoyed a great Cubs game with my dear friend Vince Vaughn. Mr. Sunshine, as we call him, invited me out to spend the weekend and catch a game. The Cubs won, which kept Mr. Sunshine happy all weekend. True to his name, he led everyone at the park in a great rendition of “Take Me Out the Ballgame” during the 7th inning stretch. A friend of ours passed on this YouTube video. If you look close, you can see me behind Sunny getting a refill.

Melvin B's
After the game we travelled to our favorite Rush Street hot spot, Melvin B’s. The bar is closing to make way for a hotel, so every night is a final good bye of sorts. Vince always gets stopped by people for autographs or to recite quotes from his movie, Swingers. He’s a good sport about it all, especially since people end up buying us drinks as a result.

Vince and I always get into debates about old movies, such as who starred in what movie, or what was an actor’s first movie. Vince is usually much better at this since he moved to Hollywood, but I can hold my own with cell phone access to wikipedia or IMDB.

Fancast
As I started to reach for my phone, Vince grabbed my arm and told me to instead head to a new site, Fancast.com. This site was pretty impressive. He took my phone and started browsing through his profile. More than just a text listing. This site features clips of movies and videos mixed in with detailed text. It does a great job of breaking up the content into logical parts. And of course it offers plenty of links to buy DVDs and movie tickets.

I truly enjoyed the weekend with Mr. Sunshine, and we both pledged to do it more often. Maybe next time he will let me know when he plans to lead an entire stadium in song so I can prepare!
